This policy explains what we collect when you use www.rentfully.io, the Rentfully product at app.rentfully.io, and the Rentfully mobile app for iOS and Android, why we collect it, and who we share it with. It is written in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
- Account information. The name, email address, company name, and password you provide when you create an account, plus details of users you invite.
- Operational data you enter. Bookings, quotes, customers, inventory items, documents, and invoices you create in the product. This can include personal data about your own customers, which you control.
- Payment information. If you pay us, or take payments through the product, card details are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation and reference information, not full card numbers.
- Technical data. Log data our servers record when you use the service, such as IP address, browser or device type, timestamps, and error traces, used to keep the service running and secure. If you enable mobile notifications, we register a push token for your device so we can deliver service alerts.
Mobile permissions
The mobile app asks for notification permission when you enable alerts and camera permission when you use its code scanner. Camera images are used on your device to scan codes; the scanner sends the resulting code to the service to find the matching item. You can change these permissions in your device settings.
Why we use it
- To provide the service and the features you ask for.
- To send service email — booking notifications, invoices, and account messages.
- To support you when you contact us.
- To keep the service secure, diagnose faults, and prevent abuse.
- To bill you, where a paid plan applies.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers we need to run the service — principally our hosting and infrastructure providers, Stripe for payment processing, our email delivery provider, and Google Analytics when you allow optional analytics — and with authorities where the law requires it.
Your customers' data
Where you enter data about your own customers, you decide what is collected and why; we process it on your instructions to provide the service to you. If one of your customers asks you about their data, you can manage it in the product, and we will help if you need us to.
Retention
We keep your account and operational data for as long as your account is open. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise the data within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep records to meet a legal or accounting obligation.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@rentfully.io and we will respond. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local data protection law.
Cookies
The marketing website and signup flow use optional Google Analytics cookies only after you choose “Allow analytics.” These help us understand visits, acquisition sources, and completed signups. We do not send account email addresses, company names, or rental records to Google Analytics, and advertising personalization is disabled. Your choice is shared across the marketing website and application. You can decline or withdraw consent using “Analytics preferences.” Declining does not prevent you from using Rentfully. The application also uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and your session secure.
